Fate Strange Fake Episode 2 Review – Plot, Ending Explained and Verdict

Fate Strange Fake Episode 2 Review This Fate Strange Fake Episode 2 Review breaks down the story, animation and key moments without heavy spoilers. Fate Strange Fake Episode 2 Review We are starting from Episode 2 because episode 1 was released way before and was a rebroadcast along with Whispers of The Dawn that was the Episode 0.So what happened in the 2nd episode? “Saber” (for now) gets questioned by the police regarding the Opera House case. The police questions him about his weird sense of fashion and which second hand shop he brought his sword from. Ayaka is also being questioned in the room next to him. She is fatigued from the ritual and is sent to a tiny prison cell. Saber asks the police if he can help with the reimbursement for the Opera House repairs to which the police replies sarcastically. He then shows the police how easy it is for him to leave this police by disappearing for a split second in front of his eyes and mentions helping them make an excuse for how they let him escape as Saber has no plan to stay there anymore and he will leave the very next dawn. Saber vanishing for a mini second and again appearing looked really nice and shows how much care is put in there by the staff. All of this happens in front of Orlando, who is then called by Caster asking for permission to go to the casino. He is instantly rejected because he is a heroic spirit. One of Einzberns homunculi seems to also have entered Snowfield city. The camera work that shows her starting from the lower body till going to the her face was excellent. The movements while she was walking was synchronised perfectly as well. Gilgamesh is himself playing casino and winning every bet he plays with Tine besides him. When he is going to play another one, a man approaches him and places his bet on the same color as Gilgamesh to borrow some of Gilgamesh’s luck for his ‘next big job’ after the casino game. After this, Gilgamesh orders the man to introduce himself, to which the latter replies with “Hansa Cervantes” and declaring himself as the supervisor of the Holy Grail War for which Gilgamesh and the others have been summoned. Hansa’s facial expressions changing, his movements are also very fluid. Saber passes through the walls in his spiritual form to enter Ayaka’s cell and tells her that he will follow Ayaka even if she is not his master to protect her from the other war participants as she is also the one who provides magical energy to Saber through which he is able to exist. Later, he helps Ayaka to escape her cell and then Saber appears to talk to someone next to him even when nobody is visible there. Ayaka’s facial movements and her reactions to Saber’s actions are also really well animated. Hansa and Orlando meet each other, Hansa questions the chief where he is hiding Saber and his master as he wants to collect information out of the unrecognized participants for the church. Rejecting this idea, when Orlando prepares to attack him along with his subordinates, Assassin breaks through the protective barriers surrounding the buliding. This leads to a small encounter between Assassin and Orlando in which Assassin ultimately gets defeated. Her entrance while breaking the barriers is really beautiful. The small blue explosion looks really good. The fire animation is smooth and the entire seuence of her beig chased is hype. The gunshot which Orlando used to make the monsters appear is also hype. The Assassin’s various Zabaniya are also really good, the background compositing is always great and consistent. Her terrifying laughter after uses Zabaniya and the hand approaching from inside the wall is really scary. This entire sequence is great. Just when Assassin appears to be cornered, her master appears who she presumed to have been successfully killed by her very own hands. He introduces himself as Jester Karture, the Dead Apostle after cutting the right hand of John, one of Orland’s subordinates. Angered by such a monster being her master, Assassin leaps to kill him. The entire cut of Assassin approaching towards Jester, him using the command seal to send her as far as possible from the current location, the tearing of the rose petals is also peak along with the direction of the whole sequence. Turning towards the subordinates of Orlando again, Jester mutters what he should do with them now.Hearing this, they begin to attack him, but their Noble Phantasms break without being able to even touch him. After knocking them all out easily, Jester approaches Orlando again to teach him the sense of evanescence by killing him with just a bench and display how he cannot be touched by anything. The funny part comes just after he says this, when Hansa throws a cup of coffee right at his white suit after Jester proclaimed himself as untouchable. Jester moving his hand to his face and pulling the skin, making a teririfying face, the symbolism of him being a literal bloody monster, all the character acting that Jester shows, the attacks being repelled by Jester even without him moving a finger, and him breaking a Noble Phantasm just by a touch, the hammer being literally bounced off was magnificently animated. Then again, everything in the episode is brilliantly animated – from the background art to the tiniest movements and detailing, the opening visuals being movie like.
